I don't think it's a bad thing that he's lived outside of the country, in fact I think that's an extremely positive thing. Now, living solely in Alaska...well I actually don't know that and can't seem to be able to google it either.....but having a political career that exists only in Alaska is pretty different. I mean, that don't have too much going on up there do they? I saw 30 Days of Night, but now that they have that under control... (I never saw the Alaskan governor doing shit about that either by the way.) Well, I think living in Kansas, Kenya, and Hawaii makes you more worldly in a way. But it sickens me that the people in this country who supported hillary would switch and vote mccain just because he picked a woman VP. Neither her nor mccain have a single policy agreement with clinton....it's depressing to think how stupid 75% of this country is. Or i guess how stupid women are. Also the bitch is from Alaska...alaska isn't even a real state. what does it know about the continental US? oops wait that's irrelevant i forgot obama lived in Hawaii and out of the country completely for extended periods of time. first of McCain’s VP is smokin’ hot! so thats a huge plus there! Then, making an explicit appeal to Ms. Clinton’s disappointed supporters, she said, “It turns out that the women in America aren’t finished yet, and we can shatter that glass ceiling.” ... The income tax would be replaced by a consumption tax, like a federal sales tax. Sure, it would be about 23%, but remember, you are not having any income tax withheld from your paycheck. All this is doing is replacing one mandatory tax, with another that is discretionary. If you make a lot of money, and spend a lot of money, you pay more tax, period. Of course, there would be allowances for the purchase of certain food staples. This would all but eliminate all the tax loopholes we now have that allow the wealthiest Americans to pay, in many cases, little or no tax. It is a no muss, no fuss approach. It would most certainly put taxes preparers out of business, but screw them. And, since businesses are already collecting and submitting state and federal taxes, it does not put any additional burden on them. I welcome anyone who knows anything about the Libertarian Party to formulate questions and either leave them on the Fitz Phone answering machine, leave them on this board, or get them to me any other way. This is a pretty big opportunity, and I want to take absolute advantage of the interview. Libertarians support ending drug prohibition, eliminating income tax, ending the war in Iraq, and they speak out against censorship as well. So if you are curious about how those policies would work, of it you think they wouldn't work....feel free to pose some questions for a man who probably knows his shit better than all of us. Can we submit questions on the phone? Call in? That would be pretty cool if that could happen. Two other things to be watching for that might be worth some news: -What does everyone think about McCain's choice for VP? A woman? I think its a gutsy move politically. Might piss off some Repubs. but might also get some of the swing voting women, not to be confused with swinging women voters, to McCain's camp. Who knows? What do you guys think? -In state news, I don't know if everyone knows this but the caps for the campaign contributions are gone in this state as of now. It's going to be interesting to see how big of checks the candidates get. For those of you who do not know, the Republican legislature in the state of MO passed a bill on the LAST day of session this year suspending campaign contribution limits after the 28th of Aug., obviously to aid their state-wide campaigns and crush the Dems. If they can't beat them fairly, because they have done such a poor job over the past 4 years, then they figure they can just buy back their power through over-the-top donations from rich fucks. The Dems will have a harder time with this, because their base is a little bit less moneyed. Nonetheless, get ready for some outrageous raising/spending during the next couple months of this election cycle... The news is certainly exciting. Can we submit questions on the phone? Call in? We just have COMPLETELY different views and I'm not going to debate that the things listed in the picture (except giving your kids an education) are not what life should be about and a lot of people live their lives like gerbils on a wheel because of this society we have created and people who don't follow the formula are the weird ones. THAT'S the point. In other exciting news, I have my first REAL guest interview soon. A member of the Libertarian party is going to do an interview to explain their party and what their policies would do for America. TO me, it’s more about what’s important in life. That's freedom. just because i take the easy comfortable route doesn't mean i'm not free. I'm actually a big supporter of conforming to an extent. it's human nature to band closing to someone else around beliefs. the REAL problem is there are too many beliefs. conformity and being free have NOTHING to do with each other when you have the choice to conform.
